Support Groups

Central Synagogue provides pastoral counseling in small, confidential group settings for members of the community who are struggling with a loved one’s illness or death of a spouse. For information about when and where these groups meet, contact Rabbi Marion Lev-Cohen.

Visiting Homebound Members

Are you a member who is unable to leave your home? Do you know a member of the congregation like this?  We have a corps of volunteers who would like to pay a visit.  To request a visit, contact Rabbi Marion Lev-Cohen. Please note that we do not currently have a need for volunteer visitors.

Emergency Phone

If you are a member who is experiencing an after-hours life-cycle emergency, please leave a message at (347) 334-1043. This phone is monitored 24/7 and is for life-cycle emergencies for members only.
